Milana
Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress actor, comedian, activist) is a comedian. She was born in Soviet Union to Jewish immigrants and started her career shortly after immigrating from Israel to the United States as a child actress. Her most well-known work is her appearances in AT&T commercials on TV. In these commercials, she was Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and in 2020 (since 2020). Her commercial appearances were not her only activity she appeared in. She also appeared on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also had an ongoing role as a character in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub was initially cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, was voiced in that role since. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. When she was two years old her parents and she immigrated to the U.S. as refugees to avoid antisemitism and settled in West Hollywood. Due to her family's financial problems the actress began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly studied at Beverly Hills High School. Following her sophomore year, she dropped out and got a GED. She went on, however, to obtain an undergraduate degree in Arts, Communication from University of California San Diego. As part of the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied improv comedy.
