Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor director, producer, playwright and teacher in St. Thomas University). Anna was born in Fredericton, being the daughter of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her productions as a young girl and watching her mom at work. In her early years, Anna appeared in several commercials. Anna was transferred out of Toronto and moved to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman met Anna at a Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007 and the couple became engaged. Anna has recently converted to Judaism and they got married in Fredericton. Bo's romance with Lauren, played by Zoie Parker, was showcased on CNN's list of the Top Television Couples of All Time and named as E!'s Top Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television.
